SEND
We are committed to equality of opportunity for all pupils.
When concern is expressed regarding a child’s progress, discussion takes place between the parents, the class teacher and a member of the Inclusion team. Diagnostic assessment can be undertaken if required.
If a special need is identified then the child’s name is placed on the Special Needs Register and arrangements made for SEN support. The plan includes targets for improvement, identifies the help required and who will provide it. Progress against the SEN support targets are monitored and parents are kept fully informed.
Therapists, (including speech and language, and occupational therapists) visit the school and provide advice to staff and therapy for those children who have been assessed as requiring additional specialist support.
If you would like to speak to our SENCo then please contact the school office on: 01784 253311 or email: senco@meadhurst.thpt.org.uk.
